Web Reverse Retrieval Helps Investigation upon Infringement Entity

The Client is mainly engaged in manufacture and sales of various types of fitness equipment-based products. In early 2009, informed by dealers, the client got that many companies in Zhejiang area had sent advertising brochures and quoting lists to its dealsers, saying that they could supply fitness equipment bearing client¡¯s registered trademark. ,customers receive the dealer reports, saying that there are companies The preliminary investigation shows that some English websites were scattered such various advertising information suspected of infringing the registered trademark of client¡¯s product. Thus the client entrusted Sunfaith to deeply investigate these targets and dig out factories behind.

After investigation, we got that those who publish such infringing information are generally trading companies. Thus it is difficult to search out entities. They often publish various infringing information by using foreign large-scale b2b, b2c websites, and then leave a false company name, address and even telephone, cunningly to avoid brand owners¡¯ attack and true information retrieval.

In view of this situation, SunFaith workded out an effective solution. First of all, we collected information that targets release. Secondly, we made screening and had valuable information reverse reserached in Chinese website to find possible clues. In the meanwhile, we were maintaining communication with targets at English website and created access to relevant company information and product information through net chat. Finally, we contrasted the information captured by two ways and ultimately locked the true information of the target company, in order to lay a solid foundation for the on site investigation.
