On November 18, 2009, the Nationwide Foreign Commercial Institutions IPR Protection Seminar was held in Chongqing City. Participating representatives of all ministries made topic speeches regarding to their own areas of intellectual property protection work.
Mr. Kevin Sun, president of Sunfaith as Vice-president of QPBC, made a speech in the seminar. In his speech, he summed up firstly the IPR work in 2008 and developing trends of IP violations. He then put forward an idea that new intellectual property infringement on the internet would cause the expansion of damage to enterprises. He also mentioned that from the influence cased by different form of IPR infringement, commercial secrets shall be the first and greatest impact, especially on enterprise operations. Secondly, he emphasized the importance of communication mechanism and some expansion proposals on how to make full use of the mechanism. |
Recently, enterprises are facing new internet infringement, joint defense and so on specific problems, which are all inter-departmental and inter-regional issues. Kevin Sun at the meeting also raised a recommendation that how to solve these problems shall be reflected by a comprehensive mechanism. Thus he suggested the State IP Office relevant department conduct a regular information exchange to dig out problems, and discuss to explore ways how to solve these problems through working team or in the form of working discussion. |
